Patio Furniture Is Not Just For Outdoor Use Anymore.
Designers merge indoor décor with outdoor style.
20 November 2007, Los Angeles, CA – The trend for designers today has begun to change as many of their clients look to make a bolder statement with the type of furniture they showcase in their homes. The days of the traditional home décor is quickly becoming less and less traditional. The thought of having a cast aluminum dining table as the attraction in your dining room or a teak bench to highlight your breakfast nook is becoming more common than many would think.
At the center of this emerging trend is Caluco. As a major manufacture of patio furniture, Caluco CEO Aaron Gochman confirms this trend. “We service a large percentage of the design industry and we find that many of them are looking for a new style to present to their customers. While patio furniture is made for the outdoors, the growing number of outdoor patio furniture sets that you find indoors is staggering. It would truly be safe to say that patio furniture is not just for outdoor use anymore!”
Not only is the style of outdoor furniture moving indoors, outdoor furniture accessories are quietly making their way into more profound spaces for home accents as well. No longer do you see the traditional center piece being a large bowl filled with fruit. Today, may home owners are looking to add a more cultural statement by placing designer items from other parts of the world as accents to brighten a once less than perfect room. Again, when we spoke to Aaron Gochman, Caluco CEO, he confirmed the increase in outdoor furniture accessories being purchased through his company to accompany the rise in outdoor furniture for indoor use.
With companies like Caluco, Brown Jordan, Tropitone and Hanamint on the rise, the growing number of new home owners each year and the increased desire for more Americans to have a moment of relaxation and comfort within their lives; it would be safe to say that this ever growing patio furniture industry will continue to find new ways to reinvent itself.
